The core of the program was to design and implement a new end-to-end process, which impacted the roles &amp; responsibilities in all markets globally.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>EIM function: <\/strong>We were involved in several stages of the program, in order to add structure and to drive the implementation. We added value as project managers within the work streams Process, Organizational Design, Learning &amp; Capabilities, Change Management and Finance. We monitored the planning and interdependencies. EIM was also involved in designing the new end-to-end process, as well as supporting HR in the design and implementation of the new Organizational Design.<\/p>\n<p><b>The biggest challenge: <\/b>The challenge within this project was to bring the designed end-to-end process to life in all markets globally, without going back to the localized process of scattered and duplicated activities. This was achieved by involving stakeholders early on in the design-phase of the process, as well as setting up a thorough Change Management and Learning &amp; Capability development plan<\/p>\n<p><strong>EIM USP:<\/strong> The added value of working with external Young Executives in this project was the speed and pragmatism that was brought to the team. The pragmatic approach of achieving quick results, combined with a strong emphasis on the human side of change, proved to be highly beneficial. This outside view helped the team in realizing the change<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>Project duration<\/b>: 12 Months<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Current Situation: <\/strong>The new Organizational Design is implemented and employees are trained on their new roles and responsibilities. This project came to the last phase in which the Business Model needed to be rolled out and implemented worldwide.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>EIM function:<\/strong> Our role is to manage the communication around the business model role-out. Our manager proceeded with setting up a communication plan together with the project group. In this plan we defined the end-goal, the target group and the deliverables e.g. a SharePoint, a sales presentation and a training.<\/p>\n<p><b>The biggest challenge: <\/b>A major obstacle within this assignment for Siemens is the size of the organization. Being responsible for the internal communication is a challenge when the organization exists of so many departments with a worldwide operation. The key is to get to know the right person\u2019s who have excess to the rest of the organization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EIM USP:<\/strong> The added value of working with an external Young Executive, is having the outside perspective with a fresh view on existing patterns and behaviours. Whereas, internal teams can be really set in their ways and have their usual ways of working, an outside view can challenge them to work different, more efficient and creative so they can speed up the projects and achieve great results.<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>Project duration<\/b>: 4 Months<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Current Situation:<\/strong> Right now, we are developing a training for the sales managers who have to work with the new business model. Furthermore, our manager is setting up a SharePoint to share all relevant information with the end-users.
